Hoover Dam, Westerville
Last month, Josh and I met up with a dear friend of mine, Stephanie from Stephanie Brann Photography, to step in front of the camera again! It was the perfect time, because Stephanie had just gotten engaged, so we were able to take some photos of her and her new fiancé Michael! It was the perfect swap. Despite the bitter cold, we stuck it out and thankfully all had the chance to sneak back into our coats as we took turns shooting. Hoover has an amazing mix of water, trees, and open fields, so it's the perfect place to get a wide variety of portraits in a short amount of time!
You wouldn't know it from looking at the images, but our last location down by the water was SO muddy!!! We trekked through wet, muddy, rocky ground that sucked at our shoes like quicksand, and our puppy Ellee just LOVED bounding across the strange ground from person to person. I had to laugh, because as photographers, we're known for doing anything for the shot, and this was no exception. I'm pretty sure the guys thought we were crazy, but we were having fun! I'm so thankful for friends in this industry and can't wait to expand our network and get to know even more amazing people. Being in the wedding industry is not for the faint of heart, but at the same time, you have to care deeply about every bride and groom you work with, so you meet lots of kindhearted people as well! Thank you Stephanie for capturing these beautiful memories for Josh and I, and I'm so excited that I was able to take engagement photos to celebrate you and Michael. Cheers to cold, wet days with hot chai lattes to put the cap on an amazing afternoon.
