I've shot at Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley quite a bit this year, and it's easily become one of my favorite locations! Not only is the mansion itself gorgeous, but the grounds are filled with hedges, brick and stone walls, gorgeous trees and flowers, and even an beautiful open field. It was the perfect setting for a two-part styled shoot with my beautiful senior spokesmodels and a few of their best friends!
As we sat in the studio getting ready, we looked out the window and it just looked so gloomy outside! The forecast had predicted a moderately cloudy day, but what we saw outside was dark and threatening clouds dropping a few teaser raindrops here and there. Fortunately, the rain let up and the lighting ended up being absolutely perfect! For this portion of the shoot, the girls dressed up in their little black dresses and statement accessories, and they absolutely rocked it. My original idea for the "Belle of the Ball" shoot was to have them come in homecoming or prom dresses, but they told me that most of them had donated their dresses, which made my heart so proud! I love that these ladies are generous and caring towards those less fortunate; it's a growing trend I see in so many of the seniors I photograph, and it's such a privilege to witness.
I'll be sharing the second half of this styled shoot soon, and you won't want to miss it! Huge shoutout to Natalie Wilcox for doing makeup for my three spokesmodels, Mikayla, Cassady, and Katie, who you see in the first photo below. Love these ladies!!! I really do have the best spokesmodels ever ;)
