Lauren + Brad | Married

A Fairytale Plum & Gold Wedding | The Barn on Enchanted Acres

I've been waiting months for Lauren and Brad's wedding day to arrive. If you've frequented my blog at all, you've surely seen the morning they got engaged on the beaches of Lake Michigan, or their romantic Christmas engagement session in downtown Dublin. Lauren and Brad are two of my best friends in the world, so for this wedding, I played double duty-- matron of honor AND photographer! And let me tell you, it was crazy and wonderful all at the same time! I'll be doing a whole separate blog post on that later because this post is obviously going to be focused on the happy couple! But before we get to them, I do have to give a praise-the-Lord shoutout to the incredible Rachel of Rachel Elisabeth Photography. I obviously needed a super reliable second shooter for the day since I was IN the wedding, and Rachel delivered everything I could have asked for and then some!!! Check out her work-- she is fabulous. I'll talk more about how we divided up the day in a future post, but now without further ado... I give you Brad and Lauren.
What can I say about these two incredible people that I haven't already said? Lauren is absolutely gorgeous and her walk down the aisle to meet her husband-to-be was something out of the perfect storybook fairytale. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the rain that had been forecast for days stayed away, and everything. was. perfect. I'm trying to find words to describe how stunning everything was... from her waterfall bouquet and flower crown, to the gorgeous open fields surrounding us in every direction, to the joy and excitement that radiated from both Lauren and Brad as they looked at each other and promised to love each other forever.

Standing next to these two on their wedding day was one of the happiest moments I've experienced, aside from the day I married Josh of course! I've been a bridesmaid a few times before, but never have I been around to witness as much of the couple's relationship as I have been with Lauren and Brad. The way that Brad cares for Lauren and would do absolutely anything for her reminds me of how God instructs husbands to love their wives-- as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. I've had many conversations with Lauren over the past year where we just talked about how much she wanted to marry Brad, because she's never met anyone like him... and now she gets to stand next to him for the rest of their days. Their entire wedding was perfectly perfect... lighthearted and sweet, funny and carefree, but with every detail so beautifully orchestrated that you could have sworn it popped straight out of a wedding magazine. I'm so thankful that they chose me to share their story! Lauren and Brad, I love both of you to pieces and am so honored to have played this role on your wedding day. Love you both!!! And now, here is your very own fairytale. HYS. ;)
